1. Overview
We want you to be satisfied with SGEO Studio. This policy explains when refunds are available, how to request one, and the conditions that apply. Your statutory rights under Finnish and EU consumer law are not affected by this policy.
2. Right of Withdrawal for EU Consumers
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, consumers in the European Union ordinarily have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason.
Waiver of the withdrawal right for digital content. For digital content delivered other than on a tangible medium — which includes software licence files — the right of withdrawal lapses once the consumer has expressly consented to performance beginning immediately and acknowledged that this consent results in the loss of the right of withdrawal. Once the licence file has been delivered, the right of withdrawal is waived regardless of whether the file has been installed or used.
3. Refund Eligibility
SGEO Studio includes a free 7-day trial of all logging features prior to purchase. By purchasing a licence you confirm that you have had the opportunity to evaluate the software and accept it as-is in accordance with the End-User Licence Agreement.
Refunds are available only in the following circumstance:
Duplicate purchase. If you have accidentally purchased the same licence type more than once, contact us and we will refund the duplicate charge.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are not available in the following circumstances:
- Your licence file has been delivered and the withdrawal right has been waived as described in Section 2.
- You have changed your mind after the licence file has been delivered.
- The remaining licence period is unused because you chose to stop using the software.
- The software performs as described but does not meet your expectations for reasons not related to a defect.
- You purchased the wrong licence type — contact us at sales@sgeo.fi to discuss whether an upgrade or replacement can be arranged.
- The issue is caused by your hardware, operating system, or third-party software rather than a defect in SGEO Studio.
Trial users are not eligible for a refund as no payment has been made.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email us at sales@sgeo.fi with the following information:
- your full name and the email address used at purchase;
- the date of purchase;
- your reason for requesting a refund.
We will review your request and respond within five business days. If your request is approved, we will initiate the refund through Paddle.
6. Processing and Payment
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing times nay typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear in your account.
